Panel Discussions

This year's conference is going to feature a series of panel discussions.  The panels will include some of Alabama's top educators discussing specific topics, asking questions of each other, and reacting to others' views and opinions.  As a member of the audience, you will have an opportunity to interact with the panelists by asking specific questions to improve your practice.

The following topics will be a part of our panel discussions:

  • Teacher Leadership
  • Standards Based Grading
  • Advocacy
In the following weeks, we will introduce you to the panelists in each discussion.  You will be provided with their background and a brief description of their views on their topic.  That way, you will have time to prepare specific questions.  Our goal is that this time will unite us as educators, stir our thoughts to try new things, and improve the quality of our teaching practice.

Registration information:

  • If you would like to be a member of the Alabama NBCT Network, but cannot attend the conference, dues are $25.
  • If you want to join or renew your membership AND attend the conference, the fee is $75. After January 3, 2015, this increases to $100.
  • A conference registration group discount is available for 5 or more participants from the same school system or organization. The cost will be $65 per person. Payment must be made by check prior to January 3, 2015, in order to receive the discounted rate.
  • If you submitted a proposal to present a concurrent session and was accepted, you and one co-presenter that was listed on the proposal will pay your membership dues of $25. You and your one co-presenter will receive free conference registration.
  • You can pay dues and/or register online now.
We look forward to seeing all educators, administrators, and preservice teachers at our conference.  You do not have to be an NBCT to attend.
